Camp Fasola Grants

Camp Fasola is a summer camp for immersive learning of Sacred Harp shaped note singing and traditions. It is an excellent opportunity to be taught in depth by experienced Sacred Harp singing school teachers, many of whom are lifelong singers.

A European session of the camp is held every two years in Wichrowe Wzgórze, outside of Gdańsk, Poland. The camp immediately follows the UK convention. Singers can travel directly from Bristol to Poland, attend camp, and then the Polish Convention the following weekend.

The original Camp FaSoLa takes place every year in Alabama, USA. In 2020, it will be run from 29 June to 3 July.

For more information, please visit the Camp Fasola or Camp Fasola Europe websites.

Financial Assistance

Financial support for camp fees may be available based on need. This will come from the accumulated funds of the UK Sacred Harp Convention and so will be limited. We want everyone to have a chance to attend Camp Fasola either in USA or in Europe and we will consider applications for assistance in paying camp fees from anyone who is in real need. We will not pay specifically for travel expenses either to the camp or in the country of its location. Priority consideration will be given to people who can show that they have made positive attempts at fund raising towards these expenses.
