Code of Conduct

The UK Sacred Harp Convention Standing Committee is working on a new Code of Conduct in 2026. It will be published here when it is completed.

Everyone who attends will be invited to read it and required to abide by it.

As this year’s hosts, Manchester Sacred Harp want to ensure a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment. We ask everyone to treat each other with kindness, protect their own wellbeing, respect the conventions of the tradition and strive for harmony.

We won’t tolerate bullying, harassment or disruption. If any individual is not acting in an appropriate manner they will be asked to leave, and may be subject to exclusion from future events.

If you’re not sure what might be expected of you, start here: Stay Safe and Be Kind. You might also find Manchester Sacred Harp’s page on Access & Attitudes useful.
